MIMIT assigned numbering

What it is

Italy’s ministry publishes, on its numbering resources page, a workbook of the numbering it has assigned: the mobile (3) and nomadic (55) arcs and the geographic blocks by district, each with the operator it was assigned to.

What the copy installed here holds

Counts only. Holders are counted, never named, and no row of the table is republished here: the publisher’s own files are linked below. A version marked “retrieved on” is the day the file was fetched, because the file itself carries no date.

How the rows read, and what a number outside them answers

Every listed arc and block reads as allocated to its operator.

MIMIT’s table is not treated as complete: a number outside every listed block is not evaluated, and its block_status answers null.

The terms, as the publisher states them

MIMIT’s legal notes say “i testi pubblicati sul presente sito sono messi a disposizione con licenza CC-BY 3.0”, that texts may be reused “a patto che sia sempre citata la fonte e – ove possibile – riportato l’indirizzo web della pagina originale”, and that “il download e qualunque utilizzo dei dati pubblicati sul sito comporta accettazione delle presenti note legali”. What the table cannot say

• A regulator’s table records the original allocation of each block, never who serves a number today: a number ported to another carrier keeps its block.
• An allocated block says a number in it can be in service, not that it is.
• The counts are rows of the regulator’s own table, not numbers or traffic: a busy block and an empty one count once each.
• The workbook lists assignments only, so it is partial: an Italian number outside it is not evaluated.
• The workbook carries no date: the version shown is the day it was retrieved.
