You pay per answer. A lookup that comes back deliverable or risky costs one credit; undeliverable verdicts, invalid input, and repeats within seven days cost nothing. Every account gets 10 free credits at the start of each month, with no card on file. Beyond that, buy credits once as a pack or let a monthly plan deposit them for less.

Batch, bulk, the dashboard, the form widget, and the MCP server all follow the same rule. A balance of zero answers a typed 402 before any work runs, so nothing is billed behind your back.
Credit packs and monthly plans
Every tier is sold two ways: as a pack, paid once, or as a monthly plan that deposits the same credits at the start of every billing month for a lower price. Both are bought through Stripe Checkout from the Billing page once you are signed in, both land in the same balance, and credits from either never expire.

Prices in US dollars. Plans are cancelled from the Billing page at any time and stay active until the end of the paid month; the credits already deposited stay. Moving to a bigger plan is charged today and restarts the monthly cycle; moving to a smaller one takes effect at the next renewal. Purchases and deposits are fulfilled by Stripe's webhook, so each one is credited exactly once.
Questions
Do credits expire?
No. Purchased credits, credits deposited by a monthly plan, and the monthly free grant all stay on your balance until they are spent, and unused credits accumulate from month to month.
What happens when the balance reaches zero?
The API answers a typed 402 INSUFFICIENT_CREDITS before the lookup runs. Nothing is verified and nothing is billed until the balance is topped up or the next monthly grant lands.
Is there a subscription?
Optional. Every tier can be bought once as a pack, or as a monthly plan that deposits the same credits every month at a lower price per lookup. Plans are cancelled from the Billing page at any time; the credits already deposited stay. The monthly free grant needs no card on file.
How do plan changes work?
Moving to a bigger plan is charged today, deposits its credits at once, and restarts the monthly cycle from that day. Moving to a smaller plan takes effect at the next renewal. Cancelling stops future charges at the end of the paid month; nothing already deposited is taken back.
