Phone numbers in Ascension Island
What a phone number in Ascension Island carries: its country calling code, an example number for every line type the numbering plan has, the regulator table this server syncs for it and what the weekly coverage measurement found there, and the area-code pages beneath it. Read from the numbering metadata and the regulator’s own table, never from a number anyone typed.
The numbering plan for Ascension Island
Every phone lookup starts from the numbering metadata: it settles whether a number is valid for Ascension Island, how it is written nationally and internationally, and which line type its range belongs to. The example numbers below are the plan’s own examples per line type, not real subscribers.

The regulator table behind a lookup here
No regulator publishes a machine-readable block table for Ascension Island that this server syncs, so a lookup here answers from the numbering metadata alone: the format, the line type and the region of a number, with carrier null and block_status null. That is not a gap in the number; it is the limit of what is published.
What a lookup answers for a number here
Every number the plan accepts for Ascension Island comes back with its formats, its line_type and line_type_source, its region and timezones, and the is_fictional and is_disposable flags from the bundled fiction ranges and the synced list of SMS-receiving numbers. With no regulator table here, carrier and block_status answer null rather than a guess.
Several zones. Ascension Island keeps more than one clock, so a lookup answers timezones per number from its area code where the plan settles it.
