What the registries record for AP

The five regional Internet registries publish daily statistics of every block they have allocated or assigned, each with the country they recorded for it. These are the rows that name AP. A registry country is what the registrant declared, and it can differ from where an address is used.

What a lookup answers for an address here

Every IP lookup that places an address in AP carries the same country facts beside the network: is_eu false, is_eea false, currency null and calling_code null. The three below are facts about the place from curated files that name their sources and dates; none of them is advice and none carries a risk weight.

• Privacy law. No comprehensive privacy law is known for AP in the curated map, so a lookup answers privacy_regime: null — which means not known, never that there is none.
• Sanctions. No country-related US (OFAC) sanctions programme names AP; a lookup answers sanctions: [].
• FATF. AP is on neither FATF list; a lookup answers fatf_list: null.
• Clock. Several zones. AP keeps more than one clock, so the zone is settled per address: by the region where the curated map knows it lies in one zone, else by the nearest listed place inside the country, never by a national guess.
